Household waste amounts to 50% of overall food waste in the UK, Crave to Save is a system which allows people to donate their extra, unwanted food that they know they will not use before it expires, and gives it a chance to be used and not wasted. With a rise of homeless people in the UK, it gives a chance for people to eradicate two problems with one easy step. Crave to Save store allows people to drop off and donate their food, where the food is then checked and used to create meals, which in turn is made available for people in need in the in-store kitchen.
